Who’s heard of Schisandra Berry?!
To those of you who have, you may also know it by its Chinese name, “Wu Wei Zi”. Translated, it means “Five Flavor Berry”.
This potent, power-packed, nutrient-dense, red berry is outstanding in both its flavor, and known health benefits.

We use dried red Schisandra berries, ground then heavily sprinkled on the bottom on the bars, with a burst of rich magenta color from dragon fruit powder.

The “five flavors”, in Chinese medicine refer to the 5 elements and 5 systems (and organs) working within our bodies to create balance and overall good health. When one is out of balance, it affects our lives and wellbeing.
Eating foods that focus on a “flavor” such as Bitter, Sweet, Acrid/Pungent, Salty, & Sour, can nudge us back into balance.

Sooo… as you may have guessed by now, Schisandra Berry has all of these flavors, and affects every system in our body!!
I describe it as a cross between cranberry and frankincense. Carried by dark chocolate. A burst of WOW in the mouth.
